Stretton on Dunsmore Parish Council currently has two vacancies for Parish Councillors. Following protocol these vacancies were advertised, and as a result 20 residents wrote to RBC to request that there be a bye-election within the Parish to fill the vacancies.
A bye-election will take place on 15th February 2017. If you would like to stand as a candidate for election you need to request a ‘Candidate Pack’ from the Parish Clerk or directly from the Elections Office at Rugby Borough Council (RBC). You will need two Stretton residents who are not related to you, or already serving Parish Councillors to nominate you by completing the correct document found within the ‘Candidate Pack.’ You must then submit the completed pack to RBC by hand no later than 4pm on Friday 19th January 2018.
The Parish Council do not have any involvement in the bye-election, all ballot papers, notifications and vote-counting etc. are managed by RBC.
Further information about the role and election process is available here.
