Below are some of up coming events held in and around the village, to advertise any other special events, open days or fundraisers please contact the Parish Clerk

Coming up in 2024:

Every Thursday Morning – All Saints Coffee Stop
A warm space to enjoy a warm welcome, barista coffees, tea and homemade cakes. Children’s play area. Dogs welcome. Pop down and enjoy this community café from 9.30am – 11.30am every Thursday in the Village Hall.

Second Tuesday of the month – Stretton Ladies Fellowship
All meetings are at 2pm welcome visitors and new members.

Wednesday 17th April & 15th May – Mobile Library 
Warwickshire County Council’s Mobile Library will be visiting Stretton on the third Wednesday of each month. Stopping outside the Post Office on Brookside from 10.30am – 11.25am then on Rugby Lane from 11.35am – 11.55am.

Saturday 20th April 2024 – Annual Community Litter Pick.
If you love our beautiful village and can spare an hour on Saturday 20th April then please come along at 10am to the centre of the village to assist with a community litter pick arranged by the Parish Council. Gloves, bags and litter picking sticks will be provided. Please wear wellies or old shoes. Everyone (and the dog) are very welcome. Bacon/veggie batches, tea and coffee will be offered to those who take park the event in the Oak and Black Dog until 12pm. Please RSVP to the Parish Clerk for catering and equipment purposes.

Saturday 20th April 2024 – Stretton on Dunsmore Progressive Supper.
To raise money for refurbishments to the Village Hall. The evening will start at 6pm in the Village Hall with a welcome drink then participants will be informed of who’s home they are visiting first. It’s a wonderful way to raise money and get to know new people or catch up with old friends. For more details and how to get involved contact Katie Waterworth waterworthkatie@gmail.com

Tuesday 23rd April – Annual Parish Assembly
This meeting is hosted by the Parish Council and will be chaired by Cllr Paul Gordon (PC Chairman) but it’s not a Parish Council meeting. It is a meeting for the electors of the Stretton. It’s an opportunity for the residents of Stretton to talk to members of the Parish Council in a relaxed setting about items which they’d like to be considered at future Parish Council meetings. It is intended to be a useful information exchange between the electors of Stretton and its Parish Councillors… and they’ll be refreshments!

Friday 26th April 2024 – Quiz and Curry Night
The KSA invites you to attend a Quiz and Curry Night at Knightlow School to raise money for its latest project. Adults only. For more information email: knightlowfamily@gmail.com.

Saturday 22nd June – Village Fete
The Stretton Village Fete takes place in the Village Green to raise funds for the Village Hall.
